Usage Examples

  1. Use any control surface to control Windows programs:
Here is a selection of devices that are used with Midi Translator:
  2. Software that you can conveniently control via MIDI using Bome's Midi Translator:
Please send me your presets so that I can include them on the Presets page!
  3. Need more Windows control?
    • Control WinBatch with which you can do anything in Windows
  4. MIDI harmonica for hands free computer control
Robin Baneth of Artificial Creativity Inc. has created a patented design of a MIDI harmonica. In conjunction with Midi Translator, you will be able to control the computer hands-free, e.g. for space and medical applications.
  5. Propellerhead's ReBirth and Juno 106
The juno only sends sys-ex messages when moving the sliders. So in order to control ReBirth's knobs, with the synth, Bome's Midi Translator is needed: The midi output of the synth is connected with the Midi Translator. Using a virtual MIDI port, the output of Midi Translator is routed to ReBirth.
  6. ReBirth and CS1x
I own the synthesizer CS1x and like to control ReBirth's knobs with CS1x's knobs. Unfortunately there are a lot more knobs in ReBirth than the 6 provided by CS1x.
I use Bome's Midi Translator to quickly change the Controller setup: With one preset I control the first 303, a click to another preset ... now I control the second 303 with CS1x's knobs.
