Overview

Bome's MIDI Translator is a program that silently runs in the background while translating actions such as keystrokes and midi messages into mouse movements, different midi messages or complex sequences of keystrokes. This translating system allows highly complex actions to be automated and controlled via a midi controller or standard keyboard. Bomes MIDI Translator is divided up into four separate products;

MT Player - This version of Bome's Midi Translator is a freeware product designed for simple playback of template files produced by MT Author Edition. Template files may be free for general use and unencrypted, or may be encrypted and require username / serial authorization for playback.

MT Classic - This is the original version of Bome's MIDI Translator, which remains postcardware. This program edition is restricted in its output, allowing only MIDI translations, and and key sequences to be transmitted.

MT Pro - This is the full-featured version of MT Classic, with such new features as MIDI translation rules, timers, advanced preset management, mouse movements, Windows wm_messages output and advanced programming options.

MT Author - This version of Bome's MIDI Translator is the same as the Pro version, but also allows creation of encrypted template files for use in MT Player. The Author edition includes an encryption tool which enables a template author to assign license keys and passwords to templates, effectively allowing an author to sell templates for use in the freely available MT Player.

System Requirements

  • Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/XP
  • Windows Vista will work, but it's not fully tested

Also recommended is any type of MIDI connected device for control translation, although it is not required. Except the classic edition, Bome's MIDI Translator will accept keyboard-only input for translation.
